About the festival
A national stage for the way Indonesia will move.
Why a festival about electric mobility belongs in a capital that is still being built, and what happens across its three days in Ibu Kota Nusantara.

What is NFMF 2026?
Five programmes, three days, one argument: the electric transition is something Indonesia builds.
An expo running the length of the Shared Street for three days, two days of policy and industry forum, and three national championships decided on race day, junior drivers, workshop builders, ministers and families on the same site at Sumbu Timur.
The argument is easiest to believe when it is racing: what a country drives, and who builds it, is this decade’s industrial question.
No single actor can deliver this transition.
So the festival is built as a meeting point, five constituencies, the same three days, the same site.
Indonesia menuju era EV
Four things decide how fast Indonesia moves into the EV era.
- 01
45 million
The scale Indonesia’s electric vehicle transition is planned for.
- 02
2060
The national target the whole transition is timed against.
- 03
IKN
A capital being built new enough to test the whole system at once.
- 04
3 days
Indonesia’s largest three-day electric vehicle festival.
Why EV matters
EV is not a trend. It is part of Nusantara’s city blueprint.
-
Net Zero Emission 2045 mandate
Nusantara targets carbon-free operation fifteen years ahead of the national target. Here an electric vehicle is not a lifestyle choice but a required instrument of radical decarbonisation.
-
Smart grid integration
Electric vehicles work as intelligent mobile battery storage, supporting the efficiency of the Nusantara City Center (NCC) grid.
-
Energy independence
Phasing out dependence on imported fossil fuel, and cutting the city’s mobility cost by up to 60%.
A capital planned around clean energy.
The only Indonesian city being designed this way from the ground up. It is planned around four targets, and a festival about electric mobility is not decoration here. It is the plan, shown working.
